Southbank Cultural Forecourt

View Product Information

The Southbank Cultural Forecourt project was an upgrade to fittings that were installed in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre recreation area.

Dated 70W metal halide “shoe box” fittings were replaced with more aesthetic 24W LED VFL530 luminaires for general area lighting.  In addition, We-ef FLD131 LED luminaires are used to illuminate the underside of the extensive tree canopy and provide an added dimension to the space.

Despite reducing the power of the luminaire the LED solution performs much better than the metal halide.  Installing LED luminaires that never require a lamp replacement makes jobs like this one a cost-effective option for facility operators.
