The 45 metre-high Timber Building on King Street, Brisbane is the home of Aurecon. When built 25 King was the tallest and largest engineered-timber office building in Australia. A co-creation between Lendlease and Aurecon, together with Bates Smart, 25 King will be a world-class building for years to come.
Interior Architects Woods Bagot created a space that is not only visually appealing but homely and productive. Due to the quantity of timber visible throughout the workplace a colour temperature of 3000K was chosen to accent this design feature. Downlights were used over the tables to ensure an even distribution of light. Track spotlights were used extensively throughout the building as general glare-free lighting. Wall wash luminaires light the main corridor and other walkways providing uniform illumination of the wall surfaces.
